Blogspot vs. WordPress

22 Dec

I like wordpress!  It’s easy to use, simple to navigate – good stuff!  However, I’ve noticed you blogspot-peeps have some nifty blogs!  I like some of the features i’ve seen on yours that I can’t seem to do with my blog – maybe I could if I had a paid membership and knew all the fancy stuff to personalize it – alas I don’t.

Should I switch?  And have any of you switched from WordPress to Blogspot?  I wonder if I could change over my domain as well?  I’ve just been thinking about it for a few months now – figured I’d get your opinion.  ANd maybe you use something else to blog with?  Let me know!

Thanks :)

I like wordpress better than blogspot, personally. But you’re right. With blogspot you have more options in customizing your site — theme and all. I am not sure but perhaps if you indeed have a paid membership with wordpress, you’ll have more theme and design options for your blog.

I really like my blogger blog, but have been wondering if I should switch to wordpress! What types of things do you want to do?

I have heard some weird things about Blogger lately. Like they are locking people’s blogs because it was reported as spam. They have no phone support and it takes weeks to get the blog unlocked.

Gah! Stephanie, that was enough to make me stay put! That would be frustrating and I don’t need more frustration in my life lol.

Beth – I do like wordpress and I actually still have an old blog over at blogger/blogspot. I heard that wordpresss was good stuff so I started one over here – but again, have noticed such great looking blogs over at blogger – and the way they can connect is awesome – like google followers app, and also how the blogs you follow can show up higher on the list when the people update them, yknow what I mean?
It might be possible for me to do over here at wordpress, but I don’t know how to.
But if you’re considering joining wordpress – just open a free account and see what you think. For ease of use, I do like wordpress. And my friend has a wordpress blog that she has highly customized, but she also has a paid account and knows all the computer-lingo to make it awesome…

I’m staying for now… I suppose maybe I’ll take the time to upgrade in the future :)
