Hey Coley-
just wanted to encourage you-you can TOTALLY do the couch to 5k! I weigh 264 and started training for the 5k I ran last saturday only a month and half before. I ran the whole thing in 48 minutes which is about a 15 minute mile. It was rough, but WHAT a feeling of accomplishment! I'm training now for a 1/2 marathon in August and starting to finally lose weight at a consistent pace. I started on a treadmill. And just tried to go for 7 minutes without stopping. Didn't care how slow it was, just wanted to go without stopping. Then I gradually added minutes and before I knew it, was running 30 minutes without stopping! I NEVER thought I'd be a runner. i HATED running. But running is the first thing I've done where I can feel and see a change in my endurance and strength every time I step on the treadmill or run outside! Good luck to you! You can DO IT! (plus-running blogs and articles say that once you get past the first few months of running, the weight starts falling off. *as long as you're watching your calorie intake too*. SO that's a motivation!) Sorry for the novel. HA!
